The Epcot International Festival of the Arts is in full swing at the park, and we are loving it. We’re also loving the new food “Walk” activity that’s been added to this year’s festival. While making their way around the Festival and World Showcase, guests can collect stamps for buying certain festival food items. After collecting five stamps, guests can pick up a complimentary culinary treat at the Decadent Delights food booth.
We here at the Jotter are all for edible art so of course we’d do the full the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine. Here’s a look at all the menu items:

Deconstructed BLT, $7.00 Location: The Deconstructed Dish, Showcase Plaza Crispy pork belly, tomato jam, and a soft poached egg! What’s not to like? We love how the bread aspect of the sandwich was expressed as a dusting of bread crumbs. And where’s the “L” (lettuce) in the BLT you ask? Well, we were delighted to find that the green stripe on the plate was actually some sort of lettuce puree! The other garnish was a line of mustard, a nice touch to help cut through the richness of the egg and pork belly.

Almond Frangipane Cake, $4.50 Location: Pop Eats!, Showcase Plaza Almond cake is layered with raspberry jam and covered in Belgian chocolate. Reminiscent of a Piet Mondrian painting, this cake slice is gorgeous! If you like a mix of cake, fruit, and chocolate, you’ll enjoy this one. It really reminded us of an Italian rainbow cookie with the same, classic flavor profile.

Seared Corvina, $7.50 Location: Cuisine Classique, Germany Seared corvina is paired with braised ratatouille and lemon-thyme beurre blanc. To be honest we didn’t know what corvina was before trying this, so we were happy to find a lovely piece of fish as the star of the dish. The corvina was perfectly seared and went really well with the savory veggies and sauce.

Pan-Seared Scallop, $7.00 Location: The Artist’s Table, The American Adventure A seared scallop is served with chorizo, roasted red pepper coulis, and topped with a parmesan crisp. This was really good. Savory all around, and the parmesan crisp added a nice crunch.

Vanilla, Rose Water, and Pistachio Panna Cotta, $8.00 Location: The Masterpiece Kitchen, Canada Layers of pink and white panna cotta and (what we think is) berry coulis are encased in a candy-shell rose. It’s garnished with what we’re calling pistachio crumbles and more coulis. This dish was so pretty we almost didn’t want to cut into it. The mix of flavors was surprising (hello, rose water!), rich and not too sweet. The candy shell and pistachio crumbles added some nice texture. We’ll go back for this one again soon.

Complementary Culinary Treat: Colorful Art Palette Cookie and Strawberry Milk Location: Decadent Delights, Showcase Plaza We did it! Time to celebrate with more edible art! For completing the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine the prize is a vanilla flavored sugar cookie and a cup of strawberry milk. Gotta love cookies and milk!
We really enjoyed taking this Wonderful Walk around the World Showcase. It was fun collecting the stamps in each pavilion. And, hey, we would have eaten all of those menu items anyway, so it was nice to get a bonus treat. If you’re planning on sampling a lot of different foods around the festival, we recommend adding this activity to your park visit.
More details on how to participate: Pick up a Festival Passport from the park entrance or any food booth or festival shop. The last page shows the list of menu items and locations of participating food booths. Order any item and be sure to ask the Cast Member to stamp your passport. Once your passport is filled with five stamps, head over to the Decadent Delights booth in Showcase Plaza to get your complimentary treat. The Walk can be completed any time during the festival or while supplies last. Just be sure to bring your passport with you if you do it over several days.
