IOA Power Outage
Guests of Universal’s Islands of Adventure got more of an adventure than they bargained for yesterday when there was a park-wide power outage. Rides were closed during the first few hours after park opening due to the outage. Universal apologized for the inconvenience and some guests said they got free pretzels as compensation. Power was eventually restored and the rides were reopened. No more outages have been reported since power was restored.
MouseGears Move
MouseGears is one of the largest and most popular shops in Epcot that sells Disney merchandise. The store recently closed its doors due to ongoing park refurbishment efforts. However, a temporary, albeit smaller, version of the store has opened on the east side of the park.
Disney Favoring the Skyliner
Some guests staying at the Pop Century Resort at Disney World posted pictures to social media yesterday of signs notifying visitors of a bus schedule change. Disney is slowing down the bus schedule to one pick-up per hour and directing guests to ride the new aerial gondola system they call The Skyliner. Some guests were expressing concern with the change, worrying that a Skyliner break down could delay them, but the new gondola system has been incredibly stable, only delaying guests on two occasions since it opened.
