New Food Offerings at Universal Studios Florida Mardi Gras

The annual Mardi Gras celebration at Universal Studios in Orlando begins on February 1, 2020. Besides featuring Mardi Gras themed parades and musical entertainment, the park sets up food stands that offer cajun and Louisiana-style eats. This year, new items will be available at the Carnival Around the Universe tent. Food items from different countries will be available, and those items will be changed every two weeks. The first two weeks will have dishes from Trinidad and Tabago, including pholourie (fried split pea dough filled with spices) and Grilled Pineapple Trini-Chow.


Memory Maker PhotoPass Military Discount

If you’re on active duty or a retired US military veteran, or if you’re the spouse of someone who is, Disney is offering you and your family a discount on the Disney PhotoPass. The Disney PhotoPass let’s you have special photos and videos of you and your family at iconic Disney attractions and locations. The service normally goes for $199, but current and former military personnel will be able to get it for just $98 through December 18, 2020.


Star Wars Grammy

Legendary composer John Williams does it again. The famous composer who wrote some of the most iconic film scores in history, including scores for the Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and Indiana Jones film franchises, won another Grammy. This time, it was for “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Symphonic Suite” in the Best Instrumental Composition category. This composition is the musical motif for the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disneyland.
